Vice President Strategy

Position Overview


Our client is seeking a dynamic “Vice President of Strategy” to lead engagements within their Strategy & Business Transformation practice. In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership to deliver strategic and financial-related services to their clients. The ideal candidate will quickly assume leadership of client engagements, presenting to senior management teams and boards, and guiding organizations through critical decision-making processes.


Key Responsibilities


-Develop a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse clients.

-Lead the development of comprehensive strategies for health systems, including market analysis, growth strategies, and service distribution plans.

-Create analytical frameworks to address key client questions related to organizational positioning, quality, cost, access, and competitive standing.

-Provide excellent project management to ensure successful outcomes for both the firm and clients.

-Contribute to thought leadership by creating intellectual capital and expanding influence within the healthcare industry.

-Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering their professional growth and ensuring successful engagement outcomes.

-Support and lead other internal projects as directed.


Qualifications


-8+ years of consulting experience with the majority focused on the healthcare provider market.

-Proven ability to manage diverse projects, including organizational planning, partnership evaluation, and physician strategy.

-Strong understanding of health systems' financial performance and the ability to communicate key financial elements.

-Excellent facilitation skills within and across organizations, including senior executive and board-level interactions.

-Superior analytical skills and experience in developing and evaluating business and financial projections.

-Demonstrable project management experience in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple engagements simultaneously.

-Outstanding presentation and communication skills.

-Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

-Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time.

-Must have work authorization in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

-Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Healthcare preferred.

-Work is performed in a combination of office, home office, and client settings, using standard office equipment.

-The role is ideally based in Chicago (hybrid), but our client is open to candidates in other cities.
