Position Summary
This Therapist position will be responsible for providing primarily telehealth services through Ashley Addiction Treatment's Bel Air, MD outpatient facility The Therapist is responsible for providing outpatient group therapy through telehealth and maintaining a caseload. This role provides on-going assessment, crisis intervention, individual, family and group therapy. This position is responsible for monitoring treatment plans, documenting interactions and maintaining clinical records and other reporting data for patients. This role coordinates with internal and external supportive services to deliver needed services to program participants. Collaborates with clinical supervisor and medical provider regarding treatment. This position may require weekend hours. Addiction Treatment.
This is a remote position providing telehealth services
Key Responsibilities
Assess mental status of patients, assist with formulation of treatment plans and goals, perform case management services as needed to assist patient in reaching their goals as stated in their treatment plans.
Provide activities to achieve goals of treatment plans, including individual, group and family therapy.
Refer patients to supportive services such as vocational, medical social services, housing authority, etc.
Advocate for patients in different forums including the court system, family, school system, etc.
Maintain close and cooperative relationships with community agencies and other public agencies in carrying out treatment plans.
Provide screening, intake and assessment of patients utilizing required instruments and assessments within required timelines.
Develop and maintain rapport through telehealth services to engage and create professional therapeutic relationships.
Conduct periodic reviews with managed care companies for authorization of treatment.
Attend staff meetings/clinical supervision and other required meetings.
Complete written discharge summaries and correspondence within established timelines.
Ensure that documentation is completed thoroughly, accurately and in a timely fashion as indicated by agency and state standards.
Maintain patient confidentiality and security of patient information per agency policy and HIPAA guidelines.
Demonstrate ability to plan and use effective therapeutic interventions and counseling techniques.
Conduct crisis intervention; intervene and de-escalate crisis situations with patients; assess risk of harm to self or others and arrange needed resources

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities For Outpatient Therapsit
Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or other behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university preferred;
Minimum LGADC, LMSW or LGPC from the State of Maryland is required
LCSW-C, LCPC or LCADC from the State of Maryland is preferred.
Preferred – Prior experience in substance treatment
Clear understanding of and demonstrated ability to use ASAM and DSM V criteria
Knowledge of substance use disorder assessment and treatment strategies
Ability to communicate and interact both personally and in writing with patients, staff, and community agencies
Minimal mathematical skills necessary
Experience with EMR and efficiency in completing EMR notes within 24 hours
Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word and Excel
Interpret educational material, assessments, and treatment plans so they are understood by patient community; able to probe and draw out thoughts, feelings, problems, concerns and fears of the patient
