Visiting Lecturer, Visual Journalism

UF College of Journalism and Communications

The University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (CJC) in Gainesville seeks an accomplished visual journalist to join our faculty as a visiting lecturer on a one-term nine-month appointment in the Department of Journalism beginning in August 2024. The position requires teaching three courses per semester, in addition to supervisory work in the CJC Innovation News Center, and some service responsibilities.

Expected Salary

Commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in journalism or communications or a related field
  • Evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level or mentoring
  • Professional experience covering North-Central Florida
