Position Summary

Mattress Firm is seeking an experienced and innovative Vice President of Digital Product Management (remote) to lead our digital product strategy and drive the development of best-in-class digital experiences. This executive leadership role will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of our digital product roadmap across mattressfirm.com, our Sleep Expert facing in-store omni-channel products, 1P & 3P digital marketplaces, and our Sleep.com related digital mobile and web properties.

Key Responsibilities

Product Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and drive the long-term digital product vision and strategy that aligns with overall business growth goals, leading Customer and Sleep Expert experiences, and helps us achieve our noble purpose to Help People Sleep Well So They Can Live Well.
  • Build a quality-focused culture that takes pride in delivering and maintaining stable, high-performance products meeting design and business goals
  • Attract, develop, inspire and lead a high-performing team of product talent to build and scale digital capabilities.
  • Build an inclusive culture involving diverse stakeholders in product decisions while making tough prioritization calls
  • Directly contribute to business strategy as owner of a key product area, ensuring product execution translates to strategic impact and objectives. Own driving the intended outcome of the initiative, not just the feature delivery.

Product Execution

  • Establish and enforce best practices in product management, including agile methodologies, user research, A/B testing, and use of data analytics.
  • Define, gather requirements, and clearly specify functionality to enable teams to build and launch exceptional digital products and features.
  • Ensure efficient product delivery processes are in place to maximize speed and quality of execution across all product teams and proactively identify and solve execution issues and change the people and processes necessary to efficiently deliver product.
  • Manage the digital product budget and ensure effective resource allocation across initiatives and priorities.

Customer Insight

  • Drive a customer-centric culture focused on continuous innovation, experimentation, and rapid iteration based on customer and Sleep Expert feedback and data insights to deliver optimized digital products and experience

Influencing People

  • Collaborate closely with other Digital Connected Retail leadership peers/teams and cross-functional partners including Retail, IT, Marketing, operations, and other business stakeholders to ensure digital product initiatives deliver desired impact & outcomes.
  • Cultivate a leadership environment promoting learning, coaching, career growth for product managers
  • Effectively partner with leadership team to secure resources for top priorities and align product strategy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in product management within direct to consumer e-commerce and retail industries.
  • Proven track record of leading and driving successful digital product strategies that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to translate customer insights into innovative product solutions.
  • Expertise in agile product management methodologies, user experience design, and data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for developing best-in-class digital experiences that delight customers.

Pay Range

$220k - $270k
