The Vice President of technology Platform Management is a working leader responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and management of our platform strategy to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance Member experience. Platforms within the responsibility of the VP – Platform Management include systems like core banking systems, digital banking, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the development of a comprehensive platform strategy aligned with the company's overall strategy, technology, and market dynamics.
- Responsible for technology product ownership. Defines and prioritizes platform initiatives, features, and enhancements based on stakeholder needs, market trends, and competitive analysis. Keeps a focus on product configuration in an agile environment.
- Collaborates closely with product management, engineering, marketing, sales, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of platform initiatives.
- Oversees the end-to-end development and implementation of platform solutions, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Establishes and monitors platform performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Implements strategies to enhance platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Engage with stakeholders and gather feedback to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points. Use insights to inform platform enhancements and drive customer satisfaction.
- Builds and leads a high-performing platform management team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to team members. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manages performance-based delivery of external vendors, partners, and third-party providers involved in platform development, integration, and support.
- Develops and manages the budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals.
- Ensures platform compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Implements security measures and protocols to protect data and company assets.

Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent mix of education and experience in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
Certification:
Cloud certification required (e.g, Microsoft AZ900)
Agile certification preferred
Experience:
- 10 years of experience in platform management, product management, or related roles, with a progressive and proven track record of success in developing and managing scalable platform solutions.
- At least 5 years of team management experience required. Demonstrated experience of driving results in a matrixed organization preferred.
- Vendor performance management experience preferred.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and SaaS solutions preferred. Experience with on-prem solutions preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Demonstrated application of Agile principles and mindset.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans and initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Deep understanding of platform technologies, architecture, and development methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong strategic thinker with the ability to articulate the needs of today, tomorrow and the future concisely to foster team buy-in and engagement.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Demonstrates a growth mindset. Strong understanding of agile product management methodologies and best practices.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Our company offers a dynamic hybrid work arrangement, which requires three days of on-site work.
