The Vice President of UPA International, overseeing the PPA Tour and Major League Pickleball (MLP), is responsible for the overall strategic vision, leadership, and operational management of the organization. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sports management and a deep understanding of the pickleball landscape.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the strategic direction and vision for UPA International, PPA Tour, and MLP.
Lead and manage the team to ensure effective execution of organizational goals.
Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Represent UPA International in negotiations, public relations, and high-level decision-making.
Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, media partners, and international governing bodies.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain the highest standards of governance and integrity.
Drive growth and innovation within the sport of pickleball through strategic partnerships and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of senior leadership experience in sports management or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Passion for and knowledge of pickleball and its competitive landscape.
