Warehouse Supervisor - Inbound

As a Receiving Supervisor in our e-commerce fulfillment center, you will be a key leader responsible for overseeing the receiving, returns, and inventory control departments. Your role will involve ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining accuracy, and upholding compliance with established procedures. Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, effective problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to employee development and engagement are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receiving:

• Supervise the receiving team in executing scanning and sorting processes for various incoming shipments, including returns, trades, and small package, less-than-truckload, and truckload shipments.
• Ensure compliance with receiving procedures and standards, providing guidance and support to team members.
• Coordinate the scheduling of all inbound deliveries.
• Address receiving-related issues promptly and investigate discrepancies in received freight.
• Manage and resolve JIRA tickets related to the receiving department.

2. Returns:

• Lead the returns team in maintaining quality standards throughout the returns process.
• Handle and resolve JIRA tickets related to returns, offering support and solutions as needed.
• Investigate and address problem returns, such as NPRs (No Problem Found), and provide regular reports on return status and backlog.
• Ensure timely processing of returns and provide updates on return completion timelines.

3. Inventory Control:

• Oversee inventory control operations, including research of adjustments and conducting cycle counts.
• Coordinate efforts for warehouse recategorization and rectify receiving errors in existing inventory.
• Manage the setup of new warehouse locations in AS400.
• Maintain monthly adjustment numbers at or near zero and investigate discrepancies in product shipments.
• Handle and resolve JIRA tickets related to inventory control.

4. Leadership:

• Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across operational areas.
• Implement employee development and engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to support their professional growth and performance improvement.

5. Service Level Agreements (SLAs):

• Maintain 98% accuracy in receiving processes, measured quarterly.
• Process all returns within 48 hours of receipt, achieving a 95% on-time completion rate.
• Maintain a cycle count accuracy of 99.5%, conducted semi-annually.
• Respond to JIRA tickets within 24 hours, achieving a resolution rate of 95%.
• Achieve a monthly adjustment variance of +/- 0.5% of total inventory value.
• Complete daily inventory checks with 100% accuracy.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with a focus on receiving, returns, and inventory control.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of AS400 system preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

• This role operates in a warehouse environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Full-Time Position: Hours are typically Monday through Friday (6AM – 3PM)
• Flexible Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to 12 hours shifts, 6 days a week and holidays as needed to meet customer demand.

The salary for this role starts at $65,000. The rate will be determined based on overall skills and experience.
