About The Position
We are seeking a mid-level, experienced engineer to work on water resources projects in our Manchester, CT or New Haven, CT office. This professional will work with a team of technical specialists in the areas of stormwater and watershed management, climate and flood resiliency, hydrology & hydraulics modelling and design, dam analysis and design, and environmental impact assessment. This position will involve working on studies and planning, design and permitting, and construction administration for a range of water resources and climate resiliency projects throughout southern New England.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s (or graduate) degree in environmental or civil engineering. Master’s degree in related science, engineering, or planning discipline a plus.
At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: hydrology & hydraulic modeling and design, watershed management, stormwater quality, climate change adaptation and resiliency, flood mitigation, and dam evaluation and design.
EIT required, PE licensure a plus
Relationships with/experience working with municipalities and state agencies desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and writing skills.
Experience using AutoCAD, Geographic Information System (GIS) software, working knowledge of HydroCAD, HEC RAS or other hydrology & hydraulics modelling, and familiarity with environmental permitting processes and regulations.
