We are currently seeking a full-time Wellness Director, Population Health to join our on-site wellness team based out of Jersey City, NJ.
Position Summary:
The Wellness Director, Population Health will report directly to the Senior Director, Wellness. The primary responsibility of this role is to represent Optum Workplace Well-being at our client and to manage multi-faceted projects from conception to execution simultaneously. This role will work with key stakeholders to understand the business needs and responds to various request for wellness data collection, reporting and presentations. This role will also serve as a key resource for developing wellness and reporting strategy, leading benefits and wellness projects as assigned, and creating project plans that aligns with the client’s strategic objectives.
What you will do:
Project Management
Direct execution of several related projects and programs within Benefits and Wellness
Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Coordinate people and processes to ensure that projects and programs are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the expectations of the client
Oversee vendor relationships and contract scope deliverables
Coordinate with cross-functional team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
Meet with project team members to identify and resolve issues
Submit project deliverables that adhere to quality standards
Create detailed project plans to track progress and oversee the timely completion of required oversight tasks
Establish effective project communication plans to ensure flawless execution
Facilitate change requests to warrant that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and deliverables
Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Healthcare Analytics
Support development of metrics for population health management projects across Benefits and Wellness
Utilize data analytics to identify and implement opportunities to improve health outcomes
Oversee collection of appropriate data in response to client’s needs on efforts to advance population health projects in support of strategic initiatives
Assist in creating reporting dashboards and supplying stakeholders with necessary data for business reviews
Prepare presentation materials that are concise, accurate, and clear to ensure clarity and appropriately respond to client informational needs
Determine data needs and identify sources of appropriate data to satisfy informational needs
Ensure appropriate data analysis is performed
Assists with development of and progress on implementation plans by providing support related to collection, organization, and monitoring of data and timelines.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Health Promotion, Engineering, Analytics or closely related field
10+ years of related work experience, preferably in Project Management, HR Administration, Benefits and Wellness, Health Analytics or Vendor Management
Proven experience in project management with ability to prioritize appropriately and organize effectively with high attention to detail
Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal relationship management skills (written and oral) with the ability to drive results
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work with leadership at various levels
Ability to achieve results and maintain a high level of productivity on multiple cross-functional projects and initiatives
Solid experience in a corporate worksite environment and ability to work effectively with others including consultants, vendor partners, external and internal stakeholders and senior leaders in a highly collaborative team environment
Experience in population health management and or data analytics
Demonstrable ability to prioritize workload and work in a deadline-driven environment
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs.
