Convert a scan to searchable text

- [Tutor] Sometimes the only copy you have of a document may be a paper copy, and no electronic version. But if you have a scanner, you can scan your documents into your computer as images. You can then use Acrobat to convert what is essentially a photo of text into actual searchable or editable text. For this example, I have a document that was scanned as an image and then converted to a PDF in Acrobat. You can do this by going to the file menu, to create and choosing PDF from file. But we've already done that step in this case. But currently this is just an image of text, and Acrobat doesn't recognize any of the letters or words. I have my marquee zoom tool added to the toolbar again, which you saw I had to do earlier. And if I use it to zoom into this text, notice that it does in fact look like scan text. We can see some pixelization and artifacts around the letters. I'm going to press the command zero or controls…
