The choice of solution depends initially on the type of NoSQL database, which, as we have looked at previously, is based on your data's use case. Key-value stores are supported with Azure Table Storage, and basic graph database features started coming into Azure SQL VM from version 2017 upwards and can now be found in Azure SQL and Azure SQL DB. However, this implementation has limitations, and Azure Cosmos DB is the recommendation for graph databases on Azure. Azure Cosmos DB also supports the four common NoSQL database types: key-value, document, column, and graph. So what is a Azure Cosmos DB?
