What are the warning signs that my life is out of balance?

- Many of the early warning signs that someone's life is getting out of balance are physical. In a way, your body is helpful when it makes you aware that something needs to change. Perhaps you've been repeatedly staying up late, so your body warns you, because you start to feel a lack of energy, maybe a little sick. Other warning signs might come from friends or family. Sometimes they see what we can't. A coworker might say, "Hey, you look like you need to take a little break." I've seen clients start to make more balance choices after a family member says something like, "I haven't seen enough of you lately." Rather than trying to cover up or ignore these signs, pay attention to them, and ask, "What changes can I make to help my body feel balanced again? What changes can I make to have better balance in my relationships?" Your body and your relationships are trying to help you, so slow down, and listen. Pull out your calendar, and see if a few small adjustments can restore a sense of well-being.
