- Many of us accidentally expose personal information due to inadvertent usage or sharing on social media. In this video, learn some of the common pitfalls and how to avoid them. The first tip here is to be careful and deliberate about what you post. Being thoughtful and taking the time to consider whether or not the content of your post, be it a picture or text or something else, could inadvertently reveal personal information about you is worth the two extra seconds. Be careful to not post personal information. An example that happened many, many times several years ago was people posting on social media pictures of their COVID-19 vaccination cards. These cards often contained full names, date of births, patient numbers, and information about where they lived, because the clinic where they received their vaccination often would stamp it or have their information on there.
