- Have you ever had to ask for something at work? Did you feel confident? You can up your chances you'll hear yes with the five-part framework I'm about to show you. Earlier in this chapter, I explained how strategic thinking is necessary when deciding what resources your team needs. Use your notes from that video about a decision you're making, and let's figure out how you can make your next big ask. First is to identify the resources needed. We talked previously about thinking through the people, tools, and budget you may need. Make sure you've written down exactly what you need in each of those three categories. This step is all about you having clarity on the resources needed in your ask. Second is to research the resources.
