- Gallup research shows that only 22% of employees feel that their leaders have a clear direction for the organization. That's less than a quarter that feels like the organization knows where it's going. You've probably heard of OKRs, or objectives and key results. They're widely talked about but not always optimized to help your organization align on a clear direction and tie each employee's work to it. So let's talk about how we can optimize them. In OKRs, you first identify objectives, or the broad strategic goals that align with the mission and vision of the organization. These objectives may apply to the overall organization or may be specific to one or more teams. Objectives should be a stretch, but not be impossible.
