Sections

- When we consider the different types of 2D orthographic drawings, they really boil down to just two types, elevations or sections. An elevation can be thought of as a view that looks mostly at the subject in question, but does not slice through any of the primary geometry, while a section, on the other hand, does slice through the primary geometry. Typically, we will graphically render the plane of the slice differently than the surrounding elements or those elements that appear off in the distance, and this can be done by applying a bold line weight around the outline where the cut occurs. We've already seen examples of this. We also often see the plane of the slice being rendered with some sort of a crosshatch or fill pattern. Now, I'd like to do a demonstration.
