- This is the very first Excel training on LinkedIn created especially for you, the engineer. I've put together loads of Excel subjects centered around helping new engineer become successful using Excel. I'll start with spreadsheet design principles, then functions, goal seek, solver, and not to mention charts. Of course, engineers love data, so I will also introduce Power Query. Pivot tables, regression tools, statistical functions. It's all there. Engineers stretch Excel's capabilities, so I'll also introduce you to the concepts of VBA programming and how to use VBA to interact with Excel as well as creating your own custom functions. My name is Jan Karel Pieterse. I'm an Excel expert and a former chemical process engineer. Let's dive in.
