- [Instructor] As we've seen, pivot tables offers engineers ways to summarize data using relatively simple calculations, like summing and averaging. If you need more sophisticated statistical analysis and you're not able to use dedicated software for that, Excel does offer some basic functionality by means of an add-in. That add-in is called the Analysis ToolPak Add-In, ATP. The ATP is an add-in which comes with Office. This means that it will be available as one of the choices in your Excel add-ins list. So we need that ATP. Go to File, Options, click on Add-Ins, click on the Go button, and check the Analysis ToolPak checkbox and click OK.
