- We now turn to the notion of amplifying others, which means magnifying the ideas, the messages and contributions of individuals to a broader audience while ensuring that you are crediting the original source. While the concept shares some similarities with the notion of making space for others, which we covered previously, amplification assumes folks have already contributed to the conversation and now it is your job to spread the word. A recent "Harvard Business Review" article underscores the tremendous benefits of amplification. Specifically, amplification can number one, make the original contribution seem better. Number two, make the person doing the amplifying look better although that part is just a bonus in my opinion.
