- If you feel uncomfortable diving into DEI, you're not alone. In fact, the more educated you become, the more discomfort you may feel. I'm here to reassure you and to coach you. It's okay. Lean into it. It's all a part of the process. Now let's talk about why. As I've already said, I often find that resistance is a lack of clarity. However, when we as individuals do take that step and start to seek clarity through education and understanding, what we find out about ourselves and others can be challenging to process it can be hard to witness bias. It can be heartbreaking to digest the oppression others experience. If through your learning you begin to experience empathy you will feel these emotions more strongly, and that can be uncomfortable.
