- As you develop your DEIA framework, you may encounter several challenges or roadblocks that can make it difficult to establish a culture of mental wellness and inclusion in the workplace. Let's discuss some of these problems and approaches you can take to overcome them. One common roadblock is resistance to change. Due to the mental health stigma or fear of retaliation, some employees may hesitate to provide feedback about their organizational culture or say where they need support. On the other hand, leaders may resist changes because they may not see the value in promoting mental wellness and inclusion in the workplace.
