- Now that we've seen a little bit about the format of a portfolio review, I'd like to share some tips on how to set yourself up for success. Stand up and present. There's no rule that says you have to stand, but in my experience, those who stand appear more confident and command attention and focus from the audience. Present using a software like Keynote or PowerPoint. The portfolio you present isn't going to be the same format as your online portfolio. The online portfolio you've created has a different objective, which is to give a high level rundown of your projects that anyone can read through. The audience in this review wants to see that you've taken the time to craft a story that highlights your work. In a portfolio review situation, you are the star of the presentation and you should show your work in more depth. A good Keynote or PowerPoint is a great tool for focusing your audience's attention on those details.…
