- [Instructor] Businesses face a lot of uncertainty, whether it is consumer demand, or prices for the raw materials that you turn into products. Planners often generate scenarios and use them to analyze the next quarter or year. In this movie, I will show you how to store an alternative data set in the same worksheet as your original data by creating a scenario. My sample file is 01_01_Create, and you can find it in the chapter one folder of the exercise files collection. This workbook contains a single worksheet, and in it I have expense category values for three calendar years, and then also four categories. Let's say that I want to input some different scenario values for inventory, specifically that my inventory carrying cost would be lower than projected here. To do that, I will go to the Data tab of the ribbon. And then in the Forecast group, I'll click the What If Analysis button, and then I'll click Scenario…
