You'll be amazed how well it works because the other person will probably have no idea what's going on, no idea what's happening to them. And don't worry if the first one goes badly, you never know what the other person will do. You're bound to get some nos. So if by pure bad luck, your first negotiation attempt comes up against a brick wall, don't give up on it forever. Just write that one off to experience and try another. Remember, if it works for 50% of the time then you've got many more bargains than you would have. And review and learn after each one. What could you have said to make it even better?
