- I remember watching Elan Musk, the CEO of Tesla, interviewed in front of a large business audience. The moderator asked him what was the most important business decision you ever had to make, and his answer was what to do with my time. Musk gets it. Time is all we've got, and we don't have that much of it. It's a fact that the quickest way to improve your performance and that of your team is to have everyone better manage their time. Years ago, during my litigation career, I found myself exhausted because I was putting in 70-hour weeks playing some nonsense hero role. After I quit litigation, I became an expert at managing my time. As a result, I went from working 70 hours a week to 40 hours or less while making the equivalent income and producing great results.
