Scaling artwork in Illustrator

- When I'm creating graphics for the web inside of Illustrator, I like to keep everything inside of one single document. That means the at 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, or the xxdpi versions of all of the icons or graphics that I'm creating all need to live within the same document so I don't have to manage multiple files. The easiest way to do this is via artboards, in my opinion, and so in this movie I'm going to show you how I use artboards to create scaled versions of the artwork I create inside of Illustrator. So what we're going to do is we're going to have the artboards panel out on the screen, like you see here, and you can see that I have one artboard currently in this document. It's called Artboard 3. And what I'm going to do is double click on Artboard 3, and I'm going to call this at 1x and hit enter or return. That means this is the at 1x version of these icons. I'm then going to zoom out just a little bit, command and control minus to do that, and I'm going to click on the artboard…
