Using the picture frame for reference - Rhino Tutorial

Using the picture frame for reference
Next up, we're going to prepare the scene and bring in some 2D reference images. With organic geometry like this controller, the use of reference images will be a huge help when we trace the various curves in the scene. Now the picture frame command can be found on the Viewport Layout tab. It's right here. It looks like a bunch of colorful pixels. Now it's going to pop open a browse window, so I'm going into the Exercise Files Chapter 01 folder. I'm going to start with the top view, and the respective viewport uses the same construction plane as the top view, so I'm going to select that image there, click Open. Now since I've already got this reference rectangle of the approximate size, I'm going to use it for snapping, which can be very handy. Make sure your end snap is on. I'm going to click on the first corner. Now what's really nice is Rhino is looking at the aspect ratio or proportions of that image, so it's not going to be distorted, so I can just snap on the first two corners…
