From the course: Rhino: Designing for Consumer Electronics

Welcome

- [Dave] Hello, this is Dave Schultze. welcome to Rhino Projects: Building a Game Controller. For this project, we cover the organic modeling process using the surface and curve network command, as well as a range of other techniques for the user interface geometry. I'll start off by analyzing the form in order to develop our modeling strategy. We then focus on where to locate our curves, which are used to generate the surfaces of our design. As the curves are built, we try to keep them as simple as possible, which makes it both easy to work with and easy to change. When our case is complete, we then proceed to create joy sticks, buttons, triggers, and even parting lines in our shape. We'll be covering all of these strategies, plus lots of my personal tips and tricks as we build this controller from scratch to completion. You are now watching Rhino Projects: Building a Game Controller. Let's get this thing started!
