- [Interviewer] And you actually recommend this physical self-evaluation as a concrete exercise to start at your toes and work your way up your body to release tension, to self-regulate, to measure what you're doing, how you are presenting yourself to other people. - [Interviewee] Yeah, it's called a body scan, and one of the things that it can be helpful for, even pre-conversation, maybe there's a conversation you're thinking about having, is to just check in with how your body is feeling when you think about that topic, or when you think about that presentation or that set of people that you'll have to, you know, debate with about whatever it may be, to really tune into what's happening in your body, discovering where there is tension and releasing that tension can set you up for a more neutral conversation going into it after that.
