- [Tutor] In this video, we'll learn how Netflow can be used to create a historical record of traffic flows within the vSphere distributed switch. So here's what Netflow does. Basically, I can set this up for a vSphere distributed switch. This feature is not available on the vSphere standard switch, but here I am at my vSphere distributed switch. I can click on configure. And under configure, I can click on Netflow, and I can edit my Netflow configuration here. And basically what I'm going to do is I'm going to put in the IP address of a Netflow collector. So I'll add an IP address here. And basically what this is going to do, is the distributed switch is going to send little summaries of traffic that is occurring, like which IP address is traffic coming from? Which IP address and what ports is traffic flowing to? The distributed switch is going to generate little records of all of those traffic flows.
