The latest report published by MIT Technology Review and Databricks highlights some truly transformative trends. (Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/d9-jsk-f) It also looks like there are some universal patterns across industries: For example, the seeming longing for real-time access to data and analytics. An average of 72% decision makers say real-time data streaming & analysis is a very important technological goal for them. These priorities reflect the broader trend towards using AI for operational efficiency, but... I'm going to play devil's advocate here. Our experience is that not every scenario demands instant analytics. Many times the DESIRE for real-time analytics is stronger than the actual NEED for it. I'm late on my Databricks Data and AI Summit take. It's in-flight. However, this year's *felt* more... data focused.. So, I thought I'd put that hunch to a test. Logic: 1) Pull Day 1 & Day 2 keynote transcripts from YT for 2023 and 2024. 2) Fix words with some regex. (BTW, YouTube thinks you're 'data braks' and SQL is 'sequel'.) 3) Calc the # of times these 3 keywords were spoken | total words spoken. 4) Graph. I was right, it was ~marginally more data focused. Loved the summit! So much to put hands on. More thoughts to come.

Look out for the space and #awesome work that Databricks is doing. A very common term being used for what GenAI can is "Democratizing Technology" . I would go a step ahead and say this is "Industrialization of Technology". The time is not far when we will have supervisors being hired for making sure that the right requirements are understood and fed into the system later code to be tested by QA Supervisor that it is being developed as per the requirement. #lakehouse #lakehouseIQ #databricks #GenAI #LLM #Summit https://lnkd.in/gmw-aD6v
