Aerodei's roundtable discussion this week saw at peak over 100 Senior HR Executives and Chief Diversity Officers in attendance. Aerodei's monthly roundtables are a unique space where industry leaders come together from all industries to innovate, gain insights, and share strategies. As Vernā Myers, former Chief Diversity Officer at Netflix, brilliantly moderated and positioned thought provoking questions to the group while sharing profound insights on overcoming organizational resistance. Leaders like Terri Hatcher, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at NTT DATA North America emphasized the necessity of helping leaders understand the benefits of inclusive practices for the company and its clients. Katrina Jones, seasoned People and Inclusion Leader, shared her method of engaging in conversations to understand resistance and grievances, then countering them with data and personal stories. Nicole Downs - Todd, MBA, Vice President, Human Resources from Blackstone outlined her strategy of aligning inclusive initiatives with broader business goals to secure support and investment. Djuana Beamon, CCDP AP, Chief Diversity and Corporate Responsibility Officer at Empower and Jasmin Zamora (she/her), Director DEIB at Everwise, discussed the importance of providing psychological safety for employees. Wanda Savage-Moore "The G.I.T. Coach", proposed her published framework SOAR which stands for Share Intent, Own impact, Affirm alignment, Restore relationships.  Anitra Jones, Senior Director of Human Resources at Encompass Health stressed the need for structure and direction in DEI committees to achieve meaningful impact and addressing issues of retention and turnover. Vernā Myers concluded by positioning Aerodei’s platform as a solution, which democratizes and measures inclusive actions, aligning them with business impact while providing a gamified experience for employees. Aerodei addresses organizational resistance by engaging executives who seek business impact, recognizing and rewarding inclusion enthusiasts, and gradually shifting the behavior of indifferent employees through gamification.
