Genexis discloses its carbon footprint via CDP 🌿 Have you also considered disclosing like 23,000+ other companies? We’re excited to share a highlight from our recently published Sustainability Report, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to environmental responsibility. Last year, Genexis embarked on its journey with the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). Our CDP submission has provided a valuable progress benchmark, earning us an industry-average C-score. While our 2023 disclosure was a good starting point, we recognized risks and opportunities that will drive continuous improvement. In 2024, our focus will be on enhancing our carbon disclosure practices and elevating our score. This commitment reflects our dedication to transparency and accountability in our pursuit of carbon neutrality and helps us get ahead of regulation. Stay tuned as we continue to drive progress for a sustainable future. 🌍 #Sustainability #CarbonNeutrality #CDP #Environment #Genexis #ClimateChange

🌍🌱 Exciting discussion at yesterday's ClimatePartner presentation on supply chain decarbonization! Thank you Oria Cézanne Palmer and Luca Bisio, REnvP 🙏🏻 🌱🌍 In an era where sustainability is paramount, it was refreshing to hear Oria Cézanne Palmer's candid comments about the reality of supplier engagement in climate action. Reality check: Not all companies are equally committed to reducing their carbon footprint. That's why, if we are serious about climate action, it's crucial to have a well-defined plan for tackling Scope 3 emissions and engaging with our suppliers. 💡 Here are my key takeaways from the presentation: 🔑 Holistic Approach: To achieve meaningful progress in reducing carbon emissions, a holistic approach that considers both direct (Scope 1 and 2) *and* indirect (Scope 3) emissions is essential. Ignoring Scope 3 emissions, which often stem from the supply chain, can undermine sustainability efforts. 🔑 Supplier Engagement: The reality of corporate climate action along the supply chain emphasizes the importance of engaging suppliers. Not all suppliers may initially prioritize climate action, but collaboration, incentives, and education can foster a collective commitment to sustainability. 🔑 Guarantees of Origin: Guarantees of origin can be a valuable tool in reducing Scope 3 emissions. They provide a mechanism for organizations to invest in renewable energy projects on behalf of their suppliers. This approach helps offset emissions but should be part of a broader sustainability strategy. 🔑 Transparency and Traceability: When purchasing guarantees of origin, transparency and traceability are critical. Ensure that the certificates are from reputable sources and accurately represent emissions reductions. Verification and due diligence are key. Feel free to connect with me to discuss these insights further and explore innovative ways to reduce our carbon footprint in the supply chain. #SupplyChainDecarbonization #ClimateAction #Sustainability #Scope3Emissions #SupplierEngagement #GuaranteesOfOrigin #EnvironmentalSustainability
