Global Mobility pros: have you ever considered being a Chief of Staff? Is there such a thing as a Chief of Staff to a Director of Global Mobility? If not, can that be created? I recently had a networking call with a connection who I thought could thrive in a CoS position with a multinational organization, given their adjacent experience in global mobility. With many pros on the market now, I can’t imagine a more perfect alignment. The transferable skills between global mobility and this Chief role are clear. It really got me thinking about the connections I know looking for new opportunities and the career development options here. #globalmobility #talent

Today marks the last day of my #honeymoon since joining Brabners as Partner & Head of Business Immigration. I will be back next week with more #businessimmigration related posts. #culture - a word we hear all the time, but see, witness, or experience very little in our work life, is defined as "the ideas, customs, and social behaviour of a particular people or society". Prior to joining, I had heard a lot (not from those at the firm) about the culture at the firm, and here is what I have learnt and experienced. Everyone is encouraged to: Be Ambitious; Show You Care; Do What's Right; and Stand Together. On my first day, after a tour of the amazing office, I was greeted by the Regional Head of Employment Nicholas Campbell. I was immediately made to feel that my opinion matters and that I would receive absolute backing and support. At 4:30pm, the Managing Partner Nik White, who was away on annual leave sent me a message asking how my first day was and that I could call him anytime. Just 2 weeks in and I have had endless conversations and messages from colleagues welcoming me to the firm, offering their support, and invites for a coffee to discuss #workopportunities. It doesn't matter what stage of career you are at, what your title is, or whether you are a young professional starting your new job or an experienced campaigner, support at a #workplace matters. Have a great Friday. See you all next week! #culturematters

Employment Services Specialist : Workforce Australia, Disability Employment Services, Labour Hire, Vocational Education.
#NESA Conference 2023. This was my 12th year of attending the Employment Services Industry Peak Body conference and whilst the plenary sessions and break out rooms provide insights and take aways, the connection with current and past colleagues always leaves an impression. Seeing the research into how the sector workforce has changed (& not changed) between contracts, Julian Hills insights into the recommendations from the Inquiry and the co design of the DES centre of excellence were all very topical. As providers consensus was shared in the current changing landscapes, irrespective of contracts. Natalie Cook reminded us that coming second doesn’t mean we have lost and that winning is a mindset and not travelled in a linear path. However, the most resonating statements from the conference were made by Fruit2Work’s Simon Fenech and APM’s Hafez - winners of the employer and consultant of the year. Their sentiments remind me that our industry success isn’t measured on statistical calculations and box ticking. It is measured by the impact we have, the opportunities we provide, the chances we take in giving belief to another. That’s not a number, that’s humility and that’s why we get up every day and do what we do. IntoWork Australia was represented at the conference by a number of businesses within the group… and to see IntoJobs on stage as a finalist 12 months into delivering their first ever ES contract was incredible 👏 👏 . #Conference #Reflection #TransformingEmploymentServices #DES #WorkforceAustralia #TransitionToWork

I help financial services consultants retain their valuable clients and attract new ones by providing a unique platform that will make them the market leaders.
What makes a company attractive to work for? For me, it's a blend of rewarding work, nurturing culture, and opportunities for personal growth. Attractive companies see their employees as valued contributors, fostering an environment where every voice matters. They provide stability and resilience during challenging times and commit to personal and professional development. In such companies, employees don't just have jobs, they build careers and lives. An attractive workplace is where you feel motivated, inspired, and appreciated. How about you? What defines an "attractive" company in your perspective? https://lnkd.in/gyxR8PNf #WorkplaceCulture #JobSatisfaction

It was great to welcome back our Englobe UK employees after the festive period, and what better way to kick off 2024 than with our ‘Starting Well Together’ Company days in Cardiff. It was great to see so many people attending from all aspects of the business. The 3 days brought up dates on last year’s performance and this year’s focuses, with presentations from across all areas of the business, welcoming guest speakers and participating in team building exercises. We covered topics such as change management, business development & the psychology of health & safety. Some of us even had the chance to participate in the virtual experience of driving an articulated dump truck. Lets just say I’ll be sticking to my desk job. We’re looking forward to a very exciting 2024 at Englobe UK and we wish each and every one of you a very Happy New Year. #EnglobeUK #Englobe #WaterTreatmentServices #ExcellentPeople #GreatPlaceTowork #ProudOfOurWork #SocialValue #Remediaion #SoilTreatmentFacilities #BrownFieldContracting #EnablingWorks #IntegratedEnvironmentalServices #InfrastructureProjects #CivilEngineering #HealthandSafety
