“You don’t inspire your teammates by showing them how amazing you are. You inspire them by showing them how amazing THEY are.” What a privilege to be invited to speak at the Remuera Surgical Care’s Education Day at the Ōrākei Marae on Thursday. The topic was the ‘Importance of Teamwork’. Together we brainstormed the “Qualities of a Great Team” and also the “Qualities of a Dysfunctional Team”. Was good to reflect on how we’re showing up personally at work and the impact we have on our teammates. We can always find areas to up our game! #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #teamwork #teamdevelopment

We wanted to take a moment to post a bit about our company and who we are, so all of you can get to know a bit more about where we started! How did Destination Aesthetics start? We started as a 140 sq ft. office back in 2011. Through the hard work and dedication, Shawna Chrisman was able to take this medical spa, that she was the sole provider for at the time, and transform it into one of the fastest growing medical spas in the country, with over 40+ employees and 5 locations in the past 10 years! What is the mission statement of DA? “To deliver inspiration, empowerment, and beauty through aesthetics art, passion and love!” What are some of the big acheivements DA has reached in the past few years”? In 2019, Destination Aesthetics was ranked #5 in Allergan (manufacturer of BOTOX®, Juvederm®) accounts out of the 24,000 accounts nationwide! In 2018-2022 DA was voted Sacramento Magazine’s #1 Medical Spa!
