However, he rightly pointed out that those investing in cybersecurity measures deserve to know the financial implications for their business. This perspective made me realise that understanding the multifaceted financial toll is essential for informed decision-making: 1. Direct Costs - Immediate losses from downtime, remediation, and system restoration. 2. Reputation Damage - Long-term impact on market trust, potentially affecting sales and market share. 3. Regulatory Penalties - Fines for non-compliance, legal costs, and efforts to meet regulatory standards. 4. Product Recalls - Expenses related to recalling and replacing compromised devices. 5.
