Encouragement is powerful
Jerome Lawrence always dreamed of being a pilot. Now, he is living that dream at United Airlines and knew the perfect way to thank his parents 🥹❤️ https://blog.obws.com "If you've been following you know this has been a goal of mine. I wanted to fly both parents but Daddy said he rather watch over us, so that's what he did. As always parents encourage and support your kids, you never truly know what impact that will have on them in future. If they had said Jerome that pilot thing not making sense I wouldn't have been one, instead they encouraged as best as they could." - IG /welta_1

This has all the #FridayFlying vibes! Words of wisdom from this King Air pilot with over 20,000 hours takes the time to mentor new and old pilots. "To have a safe, healthy, and successful career, it’s a combination of listening to your inner voice and not being afraid to speak up, without regard to whatever power imbalance exists in a cockpit. It's a team effort and nobody's foolproof." Ben Tabor. Explore his journey here- https://lnkd.in/eVAxRcNq

SRA Intl Stands Against Illegal Charter Operations In the ever-evolving world of private aviation, integrity and adherence to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations are paramount. A recent trend of concern is the rise of illegal charter operations. These unauthorized services not only compromise passenger safety but also undermine the trust and reliability established by legitimate aviation providers. Illegal charters often bypass essential FAA safety standards, including aircraft maintenance and crew training requirements. This negligence poses serious safety risks and damages the reputation of the aviation industry. At Sworowski-Rondeau Aviation International, we prioritize compliance with FAA regulations, ensuring the highest levels of safety and professionalism in our operations. We urge our clients and industry partners to exercise due diligence. Always confirm the legitimacy of charter services. Insist on seeing FAA certifications, verify pilot qualifications, and scrutinize operational protocols. If an offer appears too attractive, it's worth a second check for compliance. Let's unite in promoting safe and legal aviation practices. By standing firm against illegal charters, we uphold the values of safety, integrity, and professionalism in our industry. #AviationSafety #FAACompliance #LegitimateCharter #AirTravel

Rules and regulations exist to protect the safety of passengers. Unfortunately, most passengers aren't aware of the stringent regulations FAA-approved Part 135 companies abide by. Learn how companies like Axis Jet invest in training, maintenance and procedures to assure passenger safety. Glad to see the FAA working to educate travelers. #SafeCharter #FlyLegalDay #FlyAxis

This isn't a question any of us have been able to ask without feeling it to our core. As pilots, we feel a strong sense of identity and pride in our role as aviators. It’s our passion, it’s who we are, and it’s what we know. Occasionally, for any number of reasons, we're called to reconsider. Perhaps it's voluntary, and we're just taking a look at how life could be if we needed to make different choices. Perhaps it's pre-emptive and we're building a backup to retirement or another move. Perhaps your move away from the cockpit wasn't voluntary at all. Whatever the case, when you begin a new chapter, it's imperative that you know what you're starting with. The skills, experience and perspective you have are VALUABLE. Not only that, but they're translatable into business. At Crews Climb International, we help pilots reassess what they have to offer so that they're more aware of the choices they can make. THIS!!! I had to stop and take a picture - in our local toy store window today. Representation matters. “You can’t be what you can’t see.” - Marian Wright Edelman Growing up I had a parachuting action man (I still do, he’s called Brian and sits on my shelf 😉) Girls toys were pink, sparkly and all about fashion, families and dressing up. I went to an all girls school in the 90s and there was no career guidance available for the “non traditional” roles I was interested in - joining the RAF, being an airline pilot, so at 16 I set out to find the information myself. (This is mid 90s pre fast and easy internet search!) It’s only these past few years where I have looked back at my flying career and told my career change story, that I have truly realised and appreciated how far we have come. Being one of only approximately 500 female airline captains in the world when I took my command over a decade ago, to now with a pre-Covid statistic of approximately 1500. I have always felt those forging a path less travelled have a duty to show the possibilities and signpost the way for others, sharing knowledge and experience to help future generations achieve and grow from the foundations laid. This isn’t just a toy - it’s a beacon, it’s progress, it’s a spark of imagination that may enable a child to see possibility where previously they thought they “couldn’t”. #aviatrix #pilot #futurepilot #inspirethenextgeneration #representationmatters #showtheway #aircrew #aviationcareers #aviation #rolemodels

Probably the biggest X factor that sets Venture West apart from any other flight school is how we guarantee our students time to build their hours! You get guaranteed airtime 3 days per week which is far better than some other schools where you're lucky to flight once a month. We believe this not only helps our students stay confident and proficient but it fosters a better community of aviators constantly talking about what they're actually doing in the air vs. theorizing about what could possibly happen. #becometheone #venturewest #flightschool
