I'm going to support, and I hope you will too!
Dear Colleagues, I have some exciting news and want to ask for your support. I'm honored to have been selected as a rider in Bristol Myers Squibb's annual Coast to Coast for Cancer (C2C4C) ride. I'll be a member of one of nine teams that will be cycling from Cannon Beach Oregon to Long Branch, NJ this September in order to raise funds for the The V Foundation for Cancer Research. My segment will be from Bend Oregon to Boise Idaho and will kick off Sept. 9th. I've been training since March but the difficult part for me begins now - the fundraising. I say difficult because I don't enjoy asking people for money, but as I type this I remind myself that 1.) the money isn't for me, it's for phenomenal organization that is doing important work that could literally benefit each of us personally or someone we love. 2.) my discomfort asking for donations is nothing compared to the discomfort of enduring cancer treatment or watching someone you love go through cancer treatment, so I'm going to get on with it. So, please allow me to flood your feed with funding requests and training updates the next couple of months and please consider supporting a very good cause. BMS will match up to $500,000 with a goal of 1 million and 100% of donations go directly to funding cancer research. Thank you! #bms_employee #C2C4C https://lnkd.in/eTFVDWEw
