Sodium Citrate regulates acidity, serving as an acidulant in soft drinks and sports beverages. It balances flavors, reduces bitterness, and prevents ingredient separation in concentrated syrups. Sodium Citrate is also crucial in effervescent tablets, maintaining consistent acidity levels in carbonated drinks. This versatile ingredient enhances beverage quality and appeal. #SodiumCitrate #FoodAcidulant #Foodchem

Struggling with stability? The heat conditions during processing can disrupt proteins’ configuration leading to instabilities, and ultimately compromising the products’ shelf life. These challenges are more distinct with high protein, ready-to-drink beverages due to their increased susceptibility at higher protein concentrations. Our JOHA® solutions can help stabilize proteins in these challenging conditions, reduce fouling, and ensure smooth texture and stability of beverage formulations. #FoodScience #FoodInnovation

Is it possible to use cultured dextrose, a natural substitute for artificial preservatives like propionate, sorbate or benzoate, in beverages? The answer is not straightforward. It depends on how much propionate is present in the cultured dextrose product. Some cultured dextrose products have a low amount of propionate (<20%), which means they need to be used at high levels in beverages. This can negatively affect the quality of the beverage. Sunson's NaturalGARD cultured dextrose contains one of the highest propionate levels in the marketplace. This means you can use less of it and still get the same protection for your beverages without affecting the quality. https://lnkd.in/e4mx9yKH

Last year, I made some predictions on THC beverage innovations I expected to come out in 2024. Maybe I picked way too conservatively because every single one came true and way faster than I anticpated 1. THC Cold Brews - Gus Dean, Clarity, others all came out with this merely weeks after I brought it up 2. Adaptogens/functional ingredients - we saw brands like Brez, Offfield, Recess, Milonga, and even Wunder add additional ingredients to beverages to help enhance and round out the high 3. Waning dominance of seltzers - there are so many options and categories for people to choose from now. Seltzers, Sodas, Mocktails, Cold Brews, Kombuchas, Energy Drinks, Beverage Enhancers… all of these are giving shoppers reason to try new/different types of products 4. An Olipop-esque THC soda - this one did not become true on its own, so we made it happen 😉 Proud to announce we’ve officially launched Buz Pop, a Pre-Biotic soda infused with THC. Not only is the taste lights out, but you can slam em down without the guilt of having too much sugar and gut rot Can’t wait to see how these are received and try em out at Hemp House MN #thcbeverages #hemp #prebiotic

Application of PVPP in non-alcoholic beverage: There are three main components that affect the taste of tea extract. Amino acids give tea beverage fragrance, sugars give sweetness, tannins give bitter taste, and PVPP can adjust the proportion of the three components to obtain tea drinks with different taste. In addition, PVPP also clarifies, stabilizes and extends the shelf life of drinks such as orange juice and fruit juice.
