The salary gap between those who work in community sector and those in the public sector is carefully documented here, across 91 pages with ten provincial organizations and hundreds of agencies identifying compensation as their top issue around recruitment and retention. Nonprofits regularly try to straddle stagnant funding and the need to offer livable wages to their workers. No surprise, once again, women (84% of respondents) and racialized groups are the ones bearing the brunt of this failure. #EmploymentEquity is needed across sectors. Salary recommendations included here too.
