NIH T35 Graduate Research Fellow at University of South Carolina | Adjunct Professor at University of West Florida
Excited to compete in the inaugural UWF Graduate School Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition tomorrow with my mentor Dr. Achraf Cohen! My 3MT is entitled "Prediction of Clinical Trial Enrollment Rates," and will be presented in-person at University of West Florida or streamed via Zoom tomorrow Monday, October 23rd, 2023, at 4:30PM CST. "Clinical research often grapples with challenges like failing to meet enrollment targets, which affects statistical power and study validity. Under-enrollment not only introduces healthcare disparities but also hampers regulatory approvals for new treatments. The development of time series models to predict monthly clinical trial enrollment rates using historical data promises to enhance study feasibility and applicability across diverse medical specialties."
