For many, public pools play an important role in the homes, communities, and services we choose. The quality of care of those pools is non-negotiable, or it should be, there is very little margin of air. Did you know, that every day, in 2 to 4-hour increments, someone must inspect the pool water quality? Did you know, if the pH level is above 7.8 or below 7.2, the pool must be closed until corrected? Why, because it means risk to the people who are enjoying it. * Decreased ability for chlorine to kill germs * Dry, itchy skin, rashes and brittle hair * Irritated eyes and mucous membranes of swimmers This is in addition to the equipment and facilities damages, pH levels out of wack create. And this is just one of the tests we need to be concerned with when it comes to our safety. Pools are a wonderful service but quality means detailed data and fast action to minimize the risk. Today most rely on paper to track compliance, which means we have no idea if or how long it takes someone to figure out the pH score is out of scope and implement the corrective measures necessary to fix it. How long were we swimming in that? Operations is exposed. Not necessarily because of what they do but more likely simply because of how it is being managed. On April 3rd I invite you to join business managers across Ottawa in attending our exclusive upcoming event with the Mayor's Innovation Table. If you know someone responsible for a public pool, please invite them. As businesses come together we can help make Ottawa a safer place to live, work, and play! Spring has just arrived, and summer is right around the corner, so you know what this means... POOL SEASON! 🏊♂️ But before you dip your toes in the water, let's talk about the nitty gritty truth about our refreshing public pools: they have a lot of risks. 🚨 From water-borne illnesses, poor air quality, and the occasional human waste (don't forget you were a kid once too), the health & safety hazards that public pools are exposed to are far too many to ignore. This is not us saying avoid pools like the plague, but rather take the next step in public safety and let's all play our role to keep our communities healthy and safe. 🤗 For swimmers, this means brushing up on pool safety know-how and asking your pool providers about their compliance practices, how they guarantee inspections are being done, and how they ensure quality and safety stays top of mind for their team. For pool managers, this means investing in reliable, audit-proof systems for compliance management that equip you with the tools to know work is effectively being done to ensure compliance, and issues are addressed in real-time when they arise to keep the doors open and leave swimmers happy and safe. 🔔 On April 3rd, Zendelity is hosting our first Smart City Ottawa event to discuss the Next Generation of Pool Compliance, and specifically get into these concerns and how businesses can evolve to address them. To learn more about the event and save a spot for yourself, check out our flyer at https://lnkd.in/eHxKFGmP Fortunately, Command Center is THE audit-proof compliance management system to keep your pools open and be inspector-ready at any time with data you can count on. 💪 Discover the power of Command Center at www.zendelity.com or contact us at sales@zendelity.com to get started! #poolsafety #compliancemanagement #risk #publicsafety #operationsmanagement

🛟 IT’s WATER SAFETY WEEK 🛟 Aquatic Performance Management is watching the water, shining a light on the invisible enemy in the pool of #pathogens and #parasites.🦠🤮 That familiar odour we have all smelled in swimschools public pools, are actually highly toxic Disinfection By Products (DSPs) that hover above the waterline, being three times heavier than oxygen. If you cannot guarantee the standard of pool water quality at an aquatic facility, chances are it is no place to let your infants or pre-schoolers in the water. 🚨🚸💧 Overseas scientific studies exist making the connection with the early onset of respiratory and other illnesses, that are entirely preventable if a facility is designed and managed well. In a nation where everything else is regulated, one has to wonder who leads the duty of care for our children!? Watch the water 🔬💧Q Summer is coming ❤️☀️ #savethechildren #asthmaprevention #watersafety
IT’S WATER SAFETY WEEK 🛟 We have recently made a 🚨 SHOCKING DISCOVERY 🚨 that many swimschools/public pools are unable to substantiate their health & safety claims! Whilst many have the belief, that industry guidelines and regulatory oversight would be sufficient across Australia to health and safety, our empirical measurements of Disinfection By Products (DSPs) proves otherwise. Many operators, experienced industry professionals and even the compliance officers themselves are #not_qualified enough to be accurately self assess health and safety standards. The frontline workers operating and servicing public pools will tell you the aquatic nightmares they encounters, and where they would not allow their children to swim. We set the new standard for pool water quality in Australia, keeping your children free from life-long health risks. ⚠️🚨 ❤️🏊♂️💧🚸 #watersafetyweek #asthmaprevention #aquaticindustry #poolice
