Exciting news! Daniel Alonzo Durante Salmerón (PhD candidate 08) and Prof. Andres R. Alcántara have published a review on Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs) for chitin and chitosan processing in MDPI's "Catalysts". Their review highlights the advantages of DESs, for preparing bioactive structures. These solvents are gaining popularity for biopolymer processing and bioactive compound synthesis.This publication not only provides valuable insights into using DESs for innovative and sustainable biopolymer applications but also serves as a strong foundation for Alonzo’s ongoing research.
