Congratulations on being a WiT Wonder Woman Award finalist! I will also be at WWA as a finalist for the indie designer/inventor category. Hopefully there is a finalist meet-up at the awards or virtually so we can all geek out a bit with one another. Brava!
Our founder, Beata Híves was invited as member of the Stevie for Women in Business jury for the third year! 🏆
"This award is a great opportunity to see how we, female leaders can bring change and success to the life of a company, how we can solve its problems, how we can imagine the idea of an organization, and how we can use our empathy and emotional intelligence to get the best experience for our colleagues, customers and partner as well."

Given the backlash on DEI (legal & political), it is more important than ever to take action. I am thankful for the opportunity to moderate this very action-oriented panel with the inspiring Marygracesoleil Ericson, M Hartley and Diana Niu from Volvo Group.
Here is a little summary of our conversation:
The Vision 👓 : Leveraging the tech-driven momentum of the EV and connected industries, we aim to redefine inclusivity in the workplace. Our goal is to cultivate a diverse workforce poised to drive our business and product success in this new connected era. By designing products that cater to a wide range of needs and lifestyles, we're not just embracing change—we're leading it.
How We Get There? - Reducing bias requires a comprehensive, dual-strategy approach:
Engine 1: Individual Action 🚀
- Inclusive Advocacy: Pushing for solutions that benefit everyone, inspired by M Hartley examples (e.g. the Menopause AND Andropause initiative. Yes, male readers. Andropause is a thing)
- Bias Reduction & Diversity: Enhancing our perspectives by building diverse teams and seeking diverse mentors.
- Reverse Mentoring: Sharing insights with leadership to foster understanding and growth.
- Connectivity Tools: Facilitating easier connections, exemplified by Marygracesoleil Ericson 's sign language course initiative.
Engine 2: Organizational Accountability 🏛️
- DEI Objectives & KPIs: Implementing specific metrics across the employee lifecycle to track and improve DEI.
- E.g. Diverse Hiring & Succession Planning: Ensuring our hiring practices and leadership pipelines reflect our commitment to diversity.
- Gender Pay Gap: Continuously working to resolve pay disparities.
Through these engines, we're driving towards a future where inclusivity powers innovation and success.
I am sure I am missing things and that if we had talked longer, there would have been many more insights to uncover.

Our panel Discussion: Inspire Inclusion with Stella May Lochner, Marygracesoleil Ericson, M Hartley & Diana Niu 👏
Some powerful, yet, necessary conversations discussed about important topics on how we can action these insights and drive change for women in the automotive industry.
Thank you to our panel for sharing your experiences, insights and knowledge and as Marygracesoleil Ericson said "It starts with us."
So, keep having those uncomfortable conversations and let's make a difference together. Because, after all, we are truly #BetterTogether 🫶
It feels very appropriate to celebrate Advocation’s 5-year anniversary during Women’s History Month.
Why?
Because one of the most underrated “tips” for succeeding in business as a female founder is finding a community of women who:
📣Cheer you on
🎖Encourage you to reach for more
🤸♀️Want to change industry norms right alongside you
On Friday, I’ll be hosting a roundtable discussion with two women who fit this bill and then some:
▶Ruoyun Xu Killian, a human-centered business advisor, speaker, and founder
▶Fatou B. Barry Barry, founder of The PR Girl Manifesto and Co-Founder of Hold The PRess.
We’re discussing their experiences as trailblazers in the marketing industry, covering:
✅The biggest challenges they’ve faced in business, and how to get to the other side
✅Promoting inclusion within our industry
✅Advice for preventing or getting out of a state of burnout
…and much more!
