This is a sad truth… This is one of the reasons employers end up hiring the wrong talents. You can’t have one person do jobs meant for 10 different people. People now know how to properly profile themselves online to fit into your unrealistic criteria, they even go as far as performing extremely well during interview, then they start running helta skelter after landing the job. Some eventually get fired after the management notices that can’t fill in for the skills 10 people should be doing. This issue needs to be treated.

Dear hiring clients I'm tired of seeing a job title clearly saying "A graphic designer needed". Then when I come down to read the job description, I see things like, must be a pro in Ul/ UX design, Website design, Motion graphics, Animation, video editing, social media management with a basic knowledge of html, oss, and java script. Really? For a graphic designer? I seriously think this is getting out of hand. Graphic designers need to speak up more. We are graphic designers not multitasking Al robots. Please share 🙏🏾 #graphicdesigner #graphicdesign #hiringdesigners #graphic #creatives #upwork #freelance

To the #HR Professionals, It's imperative to acknowledge the distinction between graphics designing and video editing/animation, as they are two separate fields with distinct skill sets and requirements. A graphics designer excels in visual communication through static mediums, such as images, illustrations, and layouts, while a video editor/animator specializes in dynamic storytelling through moving images, videos, and animations. It's essential to conduct thorough research and understanding of these fields before posting any job openings related to graphics designing, video editing, or animation. Failure to recognize the differences between these roles can lead to mismatches between job requirements and candidate skill sets, resulting in inefficient hiring processes and potential dissatisfaction for both the employer and the candidate. Graphics designers typically possess expertise in software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, focusing on creating visually appealing designs for various purposes like branding, marketing materials, and user interfaces. On the other hand, video editors and animators are proficient in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Autodesk Maya, specializing in editing videos, creating animations, and enhancing storytelling through motion graphics. While there may be some overlap in skills and software knowledge between these fields, it's crucial to recognize that mastery in one does not necessarily translate to proficiency in the other. Each discipline requires unique technical skills, creative abilities, and industry knowledge to excel. Therefore, before posting job openings, it's recommended to clearly define the specific requirements and expectations for the role, including the desired skills, software proficiencies, and portfolio examples relevant to the position. This ensures that candidates with the appropriate background and expertise are targeted for the role, leading to more successful hiring outcomes and smoother integration into the team. By taking these considerations into account and conducting thorough research beforehand, HR can ensure that job postings accurately reflect the needs of the position and attract candidates who are genuinely qualified and suited for the role. This proactive approach not only streamlines the hiring process but also contributes to building a strong and effective team capable of delivering high-quality work. Thank you for your attention to this matter. #hr #jobpost #jobhunt #headhunt #hrProfessionals #graphicdesigners #videoeditor #animator #Illustrators #CGArtist #2DArtist

* JOB UPDATE: ROLE NOW FILLED, THANKS TO ALL THAT GOT IN TOUCH. WORKING MY WAY THROUGH REPLIES NOW! * I'm looking for a conceptual DD level designer for next week onwards to work at a highly creative agency. Quite niche this one... Ideally you'll have worked on branding a music/streaming, maybe even an entertainment brand, and have work that showcases your connection to culture. I'm looking for someone who's folio feels current and showcases their ability to push boundaries with a more 'edgy' approach. Two parts to this brief: 1 / Icon Development: Someone to develop an icon that meshes together two brands. Someone who can follow the brand guidelines and also ideate around different ways to create the icon. 2/ Visualising the creative routes: They have 2 new creative routes proposed, so you will need to be able to come up with an overall design aesthetic for those routes and visualise the creative ideas through a series of mock-ups and key visuals. #freelance #design
