ICYMI: Really enjoyed sitting down with Rep. Josh Gottheimer to talk Problem Solvers Caucus and bipartisanship in an election year. Gottheimer announced he’s working with Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) to get other lawmakers to sign a commitment that they’ll recognize the outcome of the 2024 presidential election, regardless of who wins. The lawmakers who sign the agreement would also commit to attending the inauguration in January. Afterward, I sat down with Jane Adams of Johnson & Johnson to talk about corporate leadership + bipartisanship. Adams also highlighted the company’s work with lawmakers on legislation to protect health care workers from burnout after lessons learned from the pandemic toll on nurses, doctors and other providers. The legislation — Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act — is named after a New York emergency room doctor who died by suicide in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
