It took just one conference for me to fall in love with the healthcare industry, especially events aimed at nurses and nurse leaders. This year, I'm thrilled to attend and work alongside some of the most recognizable and authoritative figures in the industry at the American Organization for Nursing Leadership 2024 conference happening in New Orleans from April 8-11.
If you're involved in healthcare, or know any nurses—from bedside to directors—you won't want to miss this event. The networking opportunities and discussions about the future of nurse leadership are unparalleled (we are talking technology, AI, etc). The sense of community and the feeling of belonging are truly remarkable, offering experiences and insights worth exploring.

From a brand and sponsorship perspective, I've observed that nurses, who tirelessly work in hospitals and communities seeking to enhance patient and staff experiences, are key decision-makers with substantial influence. This insight is particularly valuable for me as a Digital Marketer who has worked with over 100 prestigious brands in the US. I've always aimed to engage audiences for higher ROIs and deliver messages that resonate. Finding that perfect "unicorn" audience to connect with and learn from has been one of the greatest benefits of my work.
We are currently running an early bird promo that ends tomorrow, Feb 15th. So make sure you visit our page today to learn more about this wonderful event.
I would love to hear your experience in the healthcare industry, whatever your role is, what have you learn in the past few years and which trends have you seen evolving in this industry?

Please listen to an excerpt from our CEO Robert Minicucci Sr addressing a group of young administrators.
"In the world of long-term care, nursing home administrators are key to caring for some of our most vulnerable citizens of our communities. Despite the significant challenges and industry shortages, the dedication and resilience you demonstrate daily are truly commendable.
I want to extend my deepest admiration to all aspiring and current nursing home administrators. Your commitment to enhancing your skills, embracing continuous learning, and actively participating in specialized courses is a testament to your professionalism and dedication to excellence.
Moreover, the power of collaboration and idea-sharing cannot be overstressed. By building a robust network beyond your immediate environment—connecting with peers across regions—you are stepping out of the echo chamber, sparking innovation, and driving positive change in our industry."

Someone recently asked me, "Can a nurse reasonably expect to lead in a specialty in which they have never practiced?"
It's a good question.
My answer is this: Leadership is a clinical specialty recognized by the ANCC. If we continue to hire seasoned clinicians into leadership roles only because they are expert clinicians, we are setting them, and our teams, up to fail.
Insist on a dedication to the pursuit of leadership expertise. To leadership as its own field.
Watch our teams soar.
