I couldn't agree more Dolapo Otegbayi CIoD FNIMN such an exciting topic. The full video also featuring Dozie Okafor is a must watch for everyone working in the media space in Nigeria. Traditional media planners in Nigeria typically lead campaigns with TV despite audience data being super subjective/suspect. When you factor in the evolving audience media consumption habit you begin to understand how much budget is wasted everyday. While digital is not by any means perfect, it does present you with significantly superior data to guide planning, optimization and also measuring outcomes. Plenty to write on this topic if I get time 😁but we need to start leveraging digital data and platforms more in our planning especially at times like this where marketing budgets are shrinking and the economy is super volatile. We need to start meeting the audience more on platforms where they are most engaged. Platforms where extensive audience measurement is inbuilt. Thanks The Brand Colossus
