Generative AI, Corporate Strategy, Analytics, Marketing, Research, Competitive Intelligence: Genomics Research & Diagnostics
One of our district projects was to analyze attrition. Social cliques we're a top 3. It's a natural behavior of fellowship but one that must be reminded. Members want to accept new people but introverts are less prone to reach out. We need to rely on the extroverts to set the stage for introductions at meetings. A simple, "hello", is not enough. Inclusion is the key. Giving people a voice & a stage to communicate their passions in service. That's when you find service above self. Going beyond your own passions for service & hearing a new audience. One willing to put in the work & seeking others to support their vision.
Every kind of Rotary club should be a friendly and inclusive environment where no one feels left out, but sadly, that is sometimes not the case. In her recent article for Rotary magazine, Debbie Hodge speaks about how important it is for Rotarians to understand the values and behaviours that encourage inclusivity and grow Rotary as a result. Don't wish anyone a "Happy Memorial Day," Here's why: Today is Memorial Day in the US, and it's crucial to be mindful of cultural differences, especially in a global workplace connected with US companies or American individuals. ❌ Here's why you shouldn't say "Happy Memorial Day": • Memorial Day is a day of mourning, not celebration. • It honors the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to the nation. • It's an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made for freedom and democracy. ✅ Instead of saying "Happy Memorial Day," here are three alternatives: • Wishing you a meaningful Memorial Day. • Enjoy the long weekend and the day of remembrance. • Have a special Memorial Day. Stop repeating everything you hear or read; invest some time in understanding the cultures of those who work with you. It enriches you and makes you a better human being. --- Enjoy this? ♻️ Repost it to your network and follow Antoni Bustamante for daily doses of inspiration, valuable leadership insights, and stories to keep you motivated! #Leadership #CulturalRespect #MemorialDay

To celebrate Fidelio’s 15th Anniversary, we are exploring some of the key developments in the Boardroom since 2009. #Activism remains consistently high on the Board agenda. 📢 Activism, plus ça change 📢 Over the last fifteen years, shareholder activism has taken many forms ranging from aggressive shorting through to restraint during Covid, and more recently the adoption of a green mantle. The Board is always a focal point for activists, and Fidelio’s advice and support has been consistent throughout the period. The best defence is a healthy share price underpinned by good communication, sensible expectation setting, and consistent delivery against objectives. These are sound priorities for any Board regardless of activist tactics and interest.
