Passwords... as I get older and my memory gets a bit fuzzy, keeping track of all my passwords and dealing with different authentication systems is a real becoming a headache. The lack of consistancy is frustrating and not sustainable at all.
The whole password system is fundamentally flawed and makes for a broken user experience across the board. I can't be the only one feeling there are just too many passwords to remember these days, and the complexity and variation of these authentication methods is getting out of hand. Every time I do something on my computer and need to login, I need to run downstairs to find my phone to get that SMS code etc... This isn’t going to work in the long run.
Right now, we’ve got a mess of SMS codes, authenticator apps, Face IDs, email verifications, and more. It’s a patchwork solution that complicates everything. Managing dozens of unique passwords and navigating these security protocols is overwhelming, especially for folks who aren't super tech-savvy.
With the number of login requirements skyrocketing, we really need a universal, secure, and user-friendly way to identify ourselves across devices, web systems, and apps. Whoever comes up with this solution is going to hit it big because the demand for a streamlined process is huge. A global solution that balances security and ease of use would change the game and make life a lot better for everyone.
It’s time to prioritize more user experience in this crucial part of our digital lives.. passwords.
